A clutch pack holds torque only if the steels between the frictions are flat and parallel, and used plates rarely are.
TH400 hi-performance steel module kolene. The plates are produced to the dimensions the pack was designed around, which is what lets it hold torque without shudder.
Stack height determines apply travel, so the thickness of each plate matters as much as the count. The material is rated above the stock specification for the heat generated in towing and stop and go duty. The steels are kolene treated. Shipping weight is 5 lb.
