This steel kit from REMCO is built specifically for the 01M automatic transmission and covers the 1995-and-up range of this unit. The kit addresses five distinct clutch circuits within the transmission, supplying the steel reaction plates needed when a rebuild requires replacement of worn or heat-damaged steels. Altogether the box contains 26 individual steel plates grouped into five part numbers, each sized to the exact thickness and internal or external tooth count called for by the stock design. The six B2 3D steel plates handle the second-gear brake clutch circuit, while the six Low-Rev B1 plates at .057 inch thickness serve the B1 low-and-reverse brake pack. The five K3 3-4 clutch steels measure .058 inch with a 2.80-inch inner diameter and 28 teeth, targeting the third-to-fourth shift pack. Five additional plates at .079 inch with a 4.10-inch inner diameter and 32 teeth cover both the forward clutch K1 and the reverse clutch K2 positions in the 095 and 096 variants. Finally, four forward clutch K1 steels at .057 inch with a 4.10-inch inner diameter and 32 teeth round out the set for the 095, 096, 097, and 098 transmission families within the 01M platform.
