50-42LE [89-UP] Automatic Transmission Rear Band Rigid

A band that has been adjusted past its range is already worn out, whatever the strut position says.

AW50-42LE band rigid intermediate (1.471wide) (5 5 16 od) aw50-40 50-42le (relined). This replacement returns the apply travel to the range the servo expects.

Band wear is measured at the apply, so a band that looks fine at rest may not be. Shipping weight is 1 lb.

The parts list below is exactly what ships. Compare it against your teardown before ordering.

REMCO has supplied automatic transmission parts since 1991, and every order ships with its part listing so the receiving technician can check what arrived against what was ordered.

• removes the need to source a relined band separately, saving you the step of sending a core out and waiting for it to come back.
• This listing is for the band only. No friction discs, steels, Automatic Transmission Filter, or gaskets are included. Review your parts list before ordering to avoid a return.
• A rigid intermediate band relined to stock dimensions: 1.471 inches wide, 5/16 inch outside diameter. These specs matter when fitting to the AW50-42LE drum, so confirm your measurements match before installing.
• One rigid intermediate band, relined. Width: 1.471 in. Outside diameter: 5/16. Shipped weight: 1 lb. Application: AW50-42LE transmission units, 1989 and up.
• Before ordering, confirm the unit code on your transmission matches AW50 or AW50-42LE, and verify the model year falls within the 1989-and-up range. A wrong application means the band will not fit correctly.
