TH700-R4 4L60E 4L65E [82-UP] Automatic Transmission Front Band Flex 2 4

For TH700-R4 automatic transmissions. A failing 2-4 band in an automatic transmission shows up fast: soft or no second gear, no fourth gear, or a unit that goes straight into third with nothing in between. This flex band, cut to 2.280 inches wide, is the direct replacement for that position in the 4L60E, 4L65E, 4L70E, and TH700 units built from 1982 forward.

The 2-4 band is a single servo-applied friction band that wraps the second-and-fourth clutch drum. When it glazes, cracks, or loses material, the servo can no longer hold the drum still long enough to complete the apply, and shift feel falls apart at those two gear changes. Swapping the band is often the first mechanical step before pulling the unit apart further, because if the band is the cause, nothing else needs to come out.

This listing covers one piece: the flex band itself, nothing more. There are no friction packs, no steels, no Automatic Transmission Filter, and no gaskets included here. If your rebuild calls for those parts as well, they need to be sourced separately. Check your job sheet before placing the order.
