What sets this Friction Kit apart is the combination of three distinct clutch applications in one SKU: the direct and intermediate clutch frictions for AXOD and AXODE AX4S units going back to 1986, the forward clutch hi-energy frictions specific to AXODE AX4S and AX4N units from 1991 forward, and the reverse clutch frictions covering the full AXOD AXODE AX4S AX4N range.
The kit contains exactly 17 pieces across three part numbers. Nine frictions measure .065 inch with 96 teeth and cover the direct intermediate clutch position. Four forward clutch frictions are hi-energy spec at .065 inch with 57 teeth, built for the 1991-and-up AX4S and AX4N variants. The remaining four reverse clutch frictions measure .069 inch and fit AXOD, AXODE, AX4S, and AX4N applications from 1986 on.
This is a Friction Kit only. It does not include steel reaction plates, seals, gaskets, o-rings, Automatic Transmission Filter, bands, or pistons. If your rebuild needs those components, you will need to source them separately before the unit goes back together.
