C6 C6 Friction Module. This friction set restores the clutch capacity the pack was built with.

Each disc is matched to the pack it belongs to, so end play stays inside the range the transmission was designed around. Shipping weight is 2 lb.

  • Restores clutch engagement in C6 automatic transmission units from 1966 up, addressing slipping and delayed shifts caused by worn friction material in direct and forward clutch packs.
  • This is a friction-only kit. It does not include steel plates, an overhaul gasket and seal set, Automatic Transmission Filter, band, or any other components. Review your parts list carefully before ordering to avoid a return trip.
  • All 14 friction plates cover two distinct clutch applications in one box: the direct clutch pack gets 4 grooved .077 tan frictions and the forward clutch pack gets 4 smooth .075 frictions, plus 6 F7TZ-7B164-AA frictions included separately.
  • Box contains exactly 14 pieces: 6x F7TZ-7B164-AA frictions, 4x C6 E4OD 4R100 direct clutch .077 grooved tan frictions, 4x C6 E4OD forward clutch .075 smooth frictions. Assembled weight: 2 lb.
  • Before ordering, confirm the transmission code on the unit, the model year, and that you need frictions only. This kit fits C6 units from 1966 up, including E4OD and 4R100 direct and forward clutch applications.
