When both clutch packs in an FMX automatic transmission need new friction material, this kit puts the right plate in the right position without mixing thicknesses. What sets it apart from a generic assortment is the separation by clutch pack: five front clutch frictions at .058 inch thickness and four rear clutch frictions at .079 inch thickness, each matched to where they actually seat in the unit.

This kit covers FMX units from 1968 through 1981. It includes friction plates only. Steel plates, seals, gaskets, filter, and band are not part of this kit. If your rebuild requires those items, they need to be sourced separately. Before placing the order, check the transmission code on the unit and confirm the model year is within the 1968-1981 range. A wrong code or a year outside that window means these plates will not work for your application.
