When a cover fails or cracks, the transmission loses the protection that keeps internal components in position and fluid where it belongs, and this single replacement piece addresses that directly. is an individual cover unit, not a kit, sourced for transmissions within the [03-16] application range and packed at REMCO after verification against its part listing.
This is a discontinued application part, which means availability is not open-ended. If your unit falls in the [03-16] range and you have confirmed the transmission code matches, ordering promptly is advisable. REMCO has worked in automatic transmission parts since 1991, and each item that leaves the facility has been checked against its listed specification before it ships.
What you receive is one cover, weighing 1 lb. No gaskets, no seals, no additional hardware. If your repair also requires sealing components or related parts, those need to be sourced separately. A technician pulling this part for a job should cross-check the unit identification number on the transmission casing, not just the vehicle year, because the same production year can carry more than one transmission variant. Confirming the unit code before placing the order is the single most important step to avoid a return.
- Replacing this cover on time helps avoid fluid leaks and keeps the transmission case sealed during operation, saving labor hours on repeat repairs.
- This listing is a single cover piece only. It does not include gaskets, seals, clutch packs, steels, Automatic Transmission Filter, or any other component. Review your parts list before ordering.
