When a 09G automatic transmission comes apart for a full rebuild, every clutch pack needs correctly sized friction plates -- the wrong diameter or tooth count will not seat properly and the unit will fail again within miles. This kit puts 22 pieces on the bench in a single order: five separate friction specifications matched to each clutch application in the 09G, plus the overhaul gasket set to seal the whole unit.
The breakdown by clutch application is exact. Six B2 low-reverse frictions measure .0676 thick with a 6.716 outside diameter. Five K1 plates cover the 1-2-3-4 clutch at .06656 thickness and 5.790 outside diameter. Four K3 pieces handle the 3-5 reverse clutch at .066 thick and 6.180 outside diameter. Three B1 hi-energy frictions work the 2-6 clutch at .066 thick and 7.245 outside diameter. Three K2 frictions serve the 4-5-6 clutch at .066 thick and 5.725 outside diameter. The overhaul gasket kit completes the set so seals and gaskets do not need a separate search.
Stepper steels are not part of this kit. The Less Steels designation means separator plates are intentionally excluded -- check your rebuild sheet and order steels independently if your inventory does not have them already.
