48RE planet front (6 gear steel). This steel set is manufactured to the thickness and flatness the clutch pack requires, so the frictions seat against a true surface.

The plates are ground to the thickness the unit was built for, which keeps end play inside the stock window after the rebuild. Shipping weight is 8 lb.
