When a transmission is already on the bench, a missing or worn washer can stall the whole job. This washer kit is stocked for the 4T65E, TH440, and 4T60E automatic transmission family, covering applications from 1983 forward, and it ships as a single, verified unit rather than something pulled from a pre-packed bag. What sets this particular piece apart is that REMCO has been sourcing and assembling automatic transmission parts since 1991, and every order goes through a check against its parts list before it leaves the building, so what arrives matches what was requested.
This is a washer kit, not a rebuild kit. It does not include friction discs, steel plates, an Automatic Transmission Filter, bands, or any sealing rings. If your repair calls for those components, they need to be sourced separately. Review your complete parts requirement against what this listing covers before placing the order.
The kit weighs 1 lb. Fitment spans the 4T65E, TH440, and 4T60E units, and the application range opens at 1983 with no defined end date. Confirm the transmission code directly on your unit before ordering. The code stamped on the case is the reliable reference point. Year alone is not enough to confirm compatibility across this transmission family, so take the time to match the code first.
- Buying the right washer kit the first time means no wasted trips or delays waiting on missing pieces when the unit is already apart.
- This listing covers the washer kit only. It does not include clutch packs, steels, Automatic Transmission Filter, bands, or sealing rings. Verify your full parts list before ordering.
- Built for three closely related units, 4T65E, TH440, and 4T60E, this washer kit is pulled and checked against its parts list at REMCO before it ships.
- Single washer kit, 1 lb. REMCO has handled automatic transmission parts since 1991 and assembles each order individually, not from pre-packed stock.
- Before ordering, confirm the exact transmission code stamped on your unit and the model year of the application. The code, not the vehicle, determines fitment.
